Seth Thomas Clock
Image ID:Behind the Circulation Desk of the Art and Music Department, the old Seth Thomas clock is mounted on the wall, as it has been since anyone can remember. Seth Thomas (1816-1888), as his father before him had been, was a famous clockmaker from Thomaston, Connecticut (formerly Plymouth Hollow). During the 19th century, from the time the older Mr. Thomas organized his clock company in 1853, almost everyone in town was involved in the making of clocks and metronomes. It is not determined how the clock came to Forbes.
