An awning covers each window as well as the storefronts on the ground level. "Mandell's Shoes" is visible on one of the awnings.
Message on front reads: "Sept. 10. 1908. / This is where I am stopping tonight. / Delightful country here among the Berkshire hills. / Regards to all / Yours, C. W. K."
Back is addressed to: "Miss. Susie Brown / Bellevue Ave. / Providence, R.I."
