"Boyden's" is visible on a sign above one of the awnings. Pedestrians and bicyclists on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. A horse and buggy stopped outside the hotel.
Message on back reads: "Dear Mother, / This is a nice place. Smith College is here. Staid [sp] here over the 4th. Will go home tomorrow the 4th if it doesn't rain is doing that now. / Yours with love / J. C. N."
[Possible sender could be Jay C. Newton]
Back is addressed to: "Mrs. Della E. Newton / Dalton, Penna / R. D. #3"
