Born in 1950, local Easthampton graphic artist, sculptor, and book designer Al Robinson was named by Esquire Magazine in 1984 as one of "the best of a new generation of men and women under 40 who are changing America." He studied art as a graduate student as the University of Massachusetts and woodblock-cutting under renown local artist Barry Moser.
