Midnight to Midnight

On May 2 and 3, the community was invited to photograph Northampton, Florence and Leeds during a 48 hour period. For this first ever "selfie" of the city, more than one hundred amateur and professional photographers submitted almost 1000 photos of people, places and events. The collection will act as a digital archive for Northampton's history. Historic Northampton, in collaboration with Northampton Camera Club and Forbes Library, oversaw the call for photos that have now become part of the city's historical record. In keeping with the digital origins of these images, we displayed them in a digital slideshow rather than printing a few selections for exhibit.
